[BIS Too] Oppo Reno5 Pro 5G bags Singapore’s IMDA certification

Update: Now the Oppo Reno 5 Pro with model number CPH2201 has been spotted on India’s BIS certification website.

Earlier this month, Oppo unveiled the Reno5 series for the Chinese market. At the launch, the company didn’t reveal its global launch plans. But today, the Oppo Reno5 Pro 5G obtained IMDA certification. This hints that the global launch of Reno5 series is getting closer.

The global variant of Reno5 Pro 5G will arrive with a model number CPH2201. Just yesterday, the Oppo CPH2125 was spotted on NCC certification which was speculated to be the global variant of Reno5 5G. Rumors are that the Reno5 will arrive in the 4G and 5G versions in the global market. the 4G model is said to feature Snapdragon 720G chipset and a 50W SuperVooc charger.

On the other hand, the 5G variant of Reno5 for the global market could feature Snapdragon 765G and a 65W SuperVooc charger. Recent reports suggest that the company may not bring the Reno5 Pro+ to the global market. The Reno 5 series is expected to hit the global market by January 2021.
