Oppo releases Android 13 Beta for Reno 5, Reno 6, and Reno 5 Marvel Edition

Oppo developers have been working overtime to come out with new updates.  Oppo has continued rolling out the beta and stable Android 13 updates for its smartphones. Now, three more Oppo devices have been added to the list as Oppo Reno 5, Oppo Reno 6, and Oppo Reno 5 Marvel Edition have started getting the Android 13-based ColorOS 13 Beta update.

The Pro models of the Oppo Reno 5 and Oppo Reno 6 have already started receiving the Android 13 update, and it has also arrived for the Standard models. The Android 13 Beta Program has become available in Indonesia and it is expected to arrive in other countries in the coming days and weeks.

Changelog for the new update

There are several reasons why you might want to try the beta update and why you might not. Beta updates can come with a few major bugs but at the same time, they can also contain several new features. Some of the more prominent features of Android 13-based ColorOS 13 are Aquamorphic design elements, new app icons, improved animations, notification permission for each app, and more. Alongside other features, you can also expect to get an upgraded security patch level.

The beta program has been made available for limited users, with the limit being 5,000 seats for Reno 5, Reno 5 Marvel Edition, and Reno 6 devices. The users with eligible smartphones will be able to apply for the beta program from February 24th to March 3rd.

If you are a Reno 5, Reno 6, or Reno 5 Marvel Edition user in Indonesia, you can apply for the Android 13 Beta Program. However, first, you should ensure that your device is updated to the latest official version C.15/C.16.

To apply for the program, you should head over to Settings -> About device. After that, you should tap the top of the page before pressing the icon on the top right and going to Trial versions. After that, you must fill in the relevant information and hit apply. You will get the update within a few days if your application passes.
