Oppo is finally bringing the new Android 13 firmware to Oppo Reno 8 Pro 5G with the ColorOS 13 update. With the new update, there are numerous changes in the device, meaning that it’ll be a different experience after the update. Oppo Reno 8 Pro 5G is still seen as one of the new flagship devices released recently. The device came with the new ColorOS 12 update. The new Android 13 update for Reno 8 Pro 5G is the first major update for the smartphone.

According to the official announcement on Oppo’s community page, the Android 13-based ColorOS 13 update is a limited rollout. Even though this isn’t a beta update, initially, it’ll be available to test for a limited number of users. There’s a quota of 5000 users as the update will be available for users in India and Vietnam. Currently, there is no update for other regions but other regions are expected to receive the update soon. The ColorOS 13 update for Oppo Reno 8 Pro comes with the build number C.21. For receiving the update, your device must be on an A.14 or A.15 build.
As for the features and changes, the update will bring a number of new features and additions. Most of the features will be the same as OxygenOS 13, which is another update based on Android 13. The update will include a new aquamorphic design, new theme palettes, new widgets, improved gaming, smooth animation, and more.
Steps to install Android 13-based ColorOS 13 update for Oppo Reno 8 Pro 5G
The official ColorOS 13 update for Oppo Reno 8 Pro 5G is only available for the first 5,000 users who apply. Moreover, the update has only been released in India and Vietnam with other regions expected to receive the update soon. If you’re looking to get the update early, head over to Settings -> About Device -> Tap the top section. On the software page, you should tap the icon on the top right and then select Trial Version. Here, you’ll be able to apply for the update.
