Realme 8 5G is receiving a new software update that mainly brings the August 2021 security patch. Unfortunately, it does not bring the RAM expansion feature, which was recently rolled out to Realme 8 Pro via software update.
The new software update for Realme 8 5G is currently rolling out in India. It can be identified by the software version RMX3241_11_A.10. The package has a download size of 571MB. We can expect the update to hit the 4G model too in the coming days.
In addition to the August 2021 security patch, the update brings a couple of fixes/optimizations to the camera, network, and system. More specifically, it optimizes the image brightness, quality of the rear camera and fixes the front camera light leakage issue. The update optimizes network connection in some scenarios and optimizes system stability.
The update should be rolling out in batches and may take a couple of days to reach all the units. If you have not received it yet, then manually check for the latest update by heading to ‘Settings’ and then tap on ‘Software updates’.
