Realme is rolling out the May 2022 security patch to as many devices as possible before it starts rolling out the June security update. The company has already released the May security update for dozens of its phones and the list gets new members with each passing day. Now, Realme C12, Realme 8i, and Realme Narzo 50 have started picking up the May 2022 security patch, thereby improving device security and privacy.
The latest software update for Realme 8i comes with the firmware version RMX3151_11_A.44, while Realme Narzo 50 and Realme C12 users can identify this update by the firmware version RMX3286_11_A.56 and RMX2189_11_C.12, respectively. The update for all three Realme phones has one thing in common – the May 2022 security patch.
The changelog for Realme 8i and Narzo 50 also mentions fixes to some known issues and system stability improvements. Realme C12, on the other hand, is also getting the April 2022 security patch. It also gets system performance improvements, which should result in a better user experience.
The May 2022 software update for Realme C12
Among these three phones, Realme C12 is the oldest one with 2019 as the release year. A year later, the Realme 8i midranger arrived, and Narzo 50 came earlier this year. The Realme C12 came with Android 10 and has already got upgraded itself to Android 11. While the other two came with Android 11 out of the box, and users are still waiting for the Android 12 update. Realme has kicked off the Android 12 Open Beta for Realme 8i, but the stable rollout is yet to begin.
