Xiaomi starts sending the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition update to the Redmi 9 users in China. It’s a slightly modified version of the previous MIUI 12.5 skin with no changes to the MIUI version.
The MIUI 12.5 Enhanced mainly focuses on bringing internal changes to the devices with new features such as focused algorithms, liquid storage, and smart balance. It does not bring any major changes to design, but yes, the device becomes more responsive and fast.
The focused algorithm feature is claimed to provide a smooth experience by dynamically allocating system resources across different processes. The Atomized Memory feature is like a RAM management system that efficiently manages RAM among the running tasks. MIUI 12.5 Enhanced also brings the Smart Balance feature that is designed to make the most of the hardware specs to bring core system improvements.
The MIUI 12.5 Enhanced update for Redmi 9 is currently rolling out in China with the firmware version V12.5.4.0.RJCCNXM. Users who are still in the queue, waiting for the update, can manually check for the new OTA update by navigating to Settings >> About phone >> Tap on MIUI version >> Check for new updates.
