Redmi K20 Pro gets Android 10 update over MIUI 10 Stable

Xiaomi has started rolling out the MIUI 10 stable update to Redmi K20 Pro device. Redmi K20 Pro device gets the latest and newly announced Android 10 version with this update in China. The device becomes another non-Pixel device to receive the latest Android OS version along with Pixel devices and Essential Phone. The China stable ROM brings Android 10 update recently and will take some time to roll-out globally. Meanwhile, the Mi 9T and 9T Pro will also receive the Android 10 soon.

The Xiaomi CEO has recently shared a Weibo post that the Android latest software update rollout for the Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro has been released officially. The Redmi K20 Pro users previously participated in Android 10 beta testing program and now they’re getting the software update. Those who have registered for the beta program will only get the OTA. If you’re one of them and didn’t receive the update yet, check for OTA manually.

The Redmi K20 Pro is also getting the latest Android version beta update in India region. As mentioned above that only registered beta users will receive the update. Registrations for the Redmi K20 Pro software update Android version 10 beta testing are still open.

New Google’s Android 10 brings plenty of new features like the system-wide dark mode, more privacy controls, a focus mode which is quite similar to the Do Not Disturb. It also offers chat bubble notifications, smart reply option, new gesture navigation control, privacy options, etc. However, the MIUI is a refined and custom skin of Xiaomi, it will bring more customization options in batches. May be users will only get some of the features in the first update, but all the useful features will be added soon.
