Samsung Galaxy A30s and Galaxy Tab S5e receiving August 2021 security update

Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e and Galaxy A30s are the company’s latest devices to get the August 2021 security patch. As mention in Samsung’s documentation, the latest security patch fixes 40 system security and privacy vulnerabilities. 

The new software update for Galaxy A30s is currently rolling out in Brazil and Peru. It carries the firmware version A307GTVJS4CUH1. It is just a minor security patch update. So, don’t expect to see any new features or visual changes.

Coming to Galaxy Tab S5e, it is receiving the August 2021 security update in South Korea. The update is bundled with the firmware version T725NKOS2DUH2. Like the Galaxy A30s, the new OTA update for Galaxy Tab S5e also does not bring anything more than just a new security patch.

Samsung was the first to roll out the August 2021 security update which started in the last week of July. The July 2021 security update was also started by Samsung in the last week of June. Samsung has been pretty good in terms of rolling out software updates. Now, we are just a couple of days away from entering September month. It means that Samsung may start the rollout of September 2021 security patch in the next few days.

Coming back to the title, Samsung Galaxy A30s and Galaxy Tab S5e have started receiving the August 2021 security update in specific regions. It will soon reach other regions where the devices have been launched. You can manually check for the new software update by navigating to Settings >> Software updates.
