Samsung Galaxy A50 and Galaxy S20 FE 5G get May 2021 security patch update

Samsung is delivering a new software update to Galaxy A50 and Galaxy S20 FE 5G users. The update brings the latest security patch released in May 2021 for system security enhancements.

The latest update for Galaxy A50 is currently rolling out in South Korea with firmware version  A505NKSU5DUD2 and is available for unlocked, LG Uplus, KT, and SK Telecom versions. The May 2021 security update for Galaxy S20 FE 5G is rolling out in various European countries and UK carrying firmware version G781BXXU3CUD6

Samsung’s May 2021 security patch fixes 3 CVE’s (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures) from Google and 23 CVE’s from Samsung. If you own Samsung Galaxy A50 or Galaxy S20 FE 5G and belongs to the specified region then you would have already received the update. If not, then manually check for the update by heading to Settings >> Software updates and then tap on “Download and install“.

Samsung is doing pretty good at delivering software updates. Today itself, the company has released May 2021 security patch for Galaxy Note 20 series, Galaxy A50, Galaxy S20 FE 5G, and One UI 3.1 update to Galaxy M11.
