In a bid to improve user experience and security, Samsung has rolled out the June 2023 security patch update for its popular mid-range device, the Galaxy A51 5G. This update brings new features, enhances security, and resolves some known bugs.
The June 2023 update for the Samsung Galaxy A51 5G is currently rolling out in Korea, with a One UI build version A516NKSU6FWF2. The update package size is slightly over 300 MB.
Enhanced ‘Emergency SOS’ Function
The ‘Emergency SOS’ feature has been greatly enhanced in this update. Users can quickly alert their contacts to an emergency by pressing the power button four times. The new Countdown feature gives users a choice between instant message delivery and a three-second countdown before it is sent.
More Accurate Location Information
Additionally, the software update enhances location accuracy, aiding in more precise emergency rescue efforts. The update further boosts the device’s performance and security, while also addressing and fixing various bugs.
Installation Details
For installation, users can navigate to Settings >> Software update >> Download and install. It’s recommended that users back up their data prior to installing the update to prevent any potential loss of data.
