Samsung Galaxy Note 9 receiving April 2021 security patch update

Samsung was the first OEM to release April 2021 security patch. As of now, the latest security patch has reached a wide number of Samsung’s phones and the company continues to add more and more devices. Now, the April 2021 security update is reaching Galaxy Note 9 users in South America.

The update can be identified by firmware version N9600ZHS7FUD1. April 2021 security patch for Samsung phones fixes 30 critical vulnerabilities from Google and fixes 21 threats and CVEs from Samsung. As this is a minor security patch update, don’t expect to see any new features or UI changes.

The update has been spotted in some parts of South America and soon it may reach other markets as well. Samsung Galaxy Note 9 owners can manually check for the latest update by heading to Settings >> Software update then tap on Download and install, if a package is available.

As usual, the update is rolling out in a phased manner. This means that the update will reach a limited number of users initially, just to confirm no critical bugs are there in the package. After this, the update will be rolled out to the rest of users.
