Samsung Galaxy S20 gets April 2022 security update in Europe

Samsung has now released a new software update to the Galaxy S20 users in Europe that makes the device up to date with the latest security patch. The April 2022 security patch rollout has already begun for the Galaxy S20 5G variant in Europe, and now the LTE version has also joined the party.

The latest software update for Samsung Galaxy S20 mainly brings the April 2022 security patch. It includes fixes for as many as 88 vulnerabilities from Samsung and Google to enhance device security and privacy. The update might also include general bug fixing and device stability improvements.

The April 2022 security update for Galaxy S20 comes with the firmware version G980FXXSDFVC9. For Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S20+ users in the country, it is being rolled out with firmware versions G985FXXSDFVC9 and G988FXXSDFVC9, respectively.

If you are a Samsung Galaxy S20 user in Europe, you might be getting the April update anytime soon, if the update has not reached your phone yet. Either wait for the update notification or navigate to Settings >> Software updates to manually look for new updates.
