Samsung Galaxy S21 series get June 2021 security patch update

Just like the May 2021 security patch, Samsung has begun rolling out the June 2021 security before the month arrives. It’s none other than Samsung’s latest flagship Galaxy S21 series grabbing the June 2021 security update. The S21 lineup consists of Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra.

Galaxy S21 series is the very first phone to receive the latest security patch. The OTA update has started rolling out in select countries and will expand to other regions very soon. It can be identified by firmware versions G991NKSU3AUE8G996NKSU3AUE8, and G998NKSU3AUE8 respectively for Galaxy S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra.

As of now, Google has not detailed the June 2021 security patch as to which security vulnerabilities have been patched. We can expect the info to be announced in the first week of next month.

In addition to the latest security patch, the update brings “U+ V coloring function” which is currently spotted in the LGU+ carrier-locked Galaxy S21 series phones.

Samsung Galaxy S21 / S21+ / S21 Ultra users who have not received the June security update, can manually check the status by heading to Settings >> Software updates. The rollout has just started so it may take few days to reach your smartphone.
