Smartron is an emerging Indian manufacturer company which has made its way out into the mobile industry with the launch of its first smartphone which competes with the mid-range smartphones coming at the price point of Rs. 12,999 and offers some decent specifications. The main reason that the company has been receiving this much attention is because of the man behind this smartphone. The phone has been branded on the cricketing god in India, Sachin Tendulkar. Sachin Tendulkar has not only given his name to the phone but he also has invested in the company as well. The company launched the SRT.Phone at an event in New Delhi, India in the presence of Sachin Tendulkar. The phone has been priced at Rs. 12,999 for the 32GB model and Rs. 13,999 for 64Gb model.
As for the SRT.Phone, there are few things to talk about from the other devices coming in this price range. First of them is that Smartron has promised to give atleast three major android updates to the device as well as quarterly security patches to the device which is the only area which is lagging in the mid-range phones currently.
The device features a 5.5-inch 1080p IPS panel, 4GB of RAM, 13MP rear shooter, 5MP front camera, 32GB or 64GB storage options and a 3000mAh battery. There is no expandable storage and the device has a removable back with the fingerprint sensor located there too. The Smartron SRT.Phone will also have the ability to put everything on cloud without the hassle of filling up the space because the company has promised that the SRT.hone will come with unlimited cloud storage.
Also worth noting is that the company had launched the t.phone earlier in the Indian markets which went unnoticed but htis phone has been marketed by Sachin Tendulkar so the phone is expected to do well in the India markets.
