Sony pushes Android 13 update to Xperia 10 IV

Sony has begun rolling out its much-anticipated Android 13 software update to the Xperia 10 IV (XQ-CC72). This is the first major software upgrade for the mid-ranger, and it brings with it a host of exciting new features, including live streaming from Camera View, enhanced Material You dynamic theming, more options in Quick Settings, per-app language support, Bluetooth LE audio and more. The update also brings forward the monthly security patch to December 2022.

The Android 13 update for the Xperia 10 IV (XQ-CC72) is labelled with the build number 65.1.A.4.8. The Android 13 update is currently available for the Asian Dual SIM variant, with other variants expected to receive the update in the following days.

If you happen to own an Xperia 10 IV (model number XQ-CC72), you can update your phone to Android 13 by heading to System Updates in the Settings app and checking for new updates. If the update is available, simply download and install it on your device. If not, wait a few days as the update is being rolled out in stages and will be available to everyone in due course.

If you are in a hurry and want to try out the new software, you can manually flash your phone by downloading the firmware from tools such as XperiFirm. Before you update your phone, make sure you back up your data and charge your phone to at least 50% to ensure a smooth and successful installation.
