Vivo X60 series launch date set for December 29, Company reveals

Earlier today, Vivo shared the launch date poster of the X60 series on Weibo. It reveals that the company will unveil the X60 flagship series on December 29 in China. The launch event will be live-streamed on Dec 29 at 7:30 PM (local time).

The company is expected to announce Vivo X60, X60 Pro, and X60 Pro+ under the X60 series. Past leaks have revealed how the X60 and X60 Pro will look like and most of their specifications. The Vivo X60 series will be mainly focused on its cameras. As a result, the launch poster also mentions “Ultra-Stable Micro-head Sensor” (Machine translated from Chinese).

The company has already teased that Vivo X60 will feature Samsung’s powerful Exynos 1080 SoC. However, the X60 Pro+ is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 888 chipset. Leaked renders of the Vivo X60 show a flat display, whereas the Pro model has a curved panel.

The Vivo X60 may feature a triple camera setup on the back which reportedly includes a 48MP primary camera, a 13MP ultrawide lens, and a 13MP portrait lens. The Pro model reportedly has an additional 8MP telephoto camera with up to 50x digital zoom. This time, the camera setup on X60 series smartphones has been developed in partnership with ZEISS.
