Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G starts receiving the August 2021 security patch update. It fixes a bunch of vulnerabilities related to system security and privacy. Xiaomi started its August 2021 security update rollout last week, which has already reached Redmi Note 9 and Redmi 9A users in specific regions.
The new software update for Mi 11 Lite 5G is currently rolling out to the global variant. It can be identified by firmware version V12.5.5.0.RKIMIXM. As per the changelog, the new OTA update does not bring any other changes other than just a new security patch.
The update will soon start hitting other regions where the device has been launched. To manually check for the new update, head over to Settings >> About phone and check if a new update is available. As always, it may take a couple of days to reach all the units.
For those, who want to manually install the new package, we have added a download link for the recovery ROM. Note that, we don’t recommend this method unless you don’t have decent knowledge about ROM flashing. So, proceed at your own risk.
