Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro 5G launched with Snapdragon 855 Plus chip, and more

The Chinese smartphone brand Xiaomi has just launched Mi 9 Pro 5G model on Tuesday in China officially. Xioami has also announced MIUI 11 skin officially and the update will start rolling out from September 27. The Mi 9 smartphone offers flagship-grade specifications along with 5G support. It’s powered by Snapdragon 855+ SoC and offers triple rear camera setup, 40W fast charging. Whereas, the device comes with MIUI 11 by default along with the vapor chamber for better cooling support.

The Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro 5G also sports the industry’s most efficient vapor chamber (VC) along with five layers of graphite sheet, high thermal conductivity copper foil, and thermal adhesive. Therefore, the powerful three-dimensional cooling system offers higher heat dissipation. While the L-shaped VC has a heat dissipation area ​​up to 1,127mm2, which delivers faster and more efficient heat transfer. Therefore, the longer usage and extreme gameplay performance will be much smoother and lag-free as well.

The dual Nano-SIM enabled Mi 9 Pro 5G sports a 6.39-inches Full-HD+ AMOLED display with 1080×2340 pixels resolution, a waterdrop-style notch, and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It’s powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ SoC, coupled with up to 12GB of RAM.

It comes with a 4,000 mAh battery which supports 40W fast charging and 30W wireless fast charging as well. In terms of the connectivity options, it has NFC, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, A-GPS, 5G, 4G LTE, USB Type-C port, and more. While all the major sensors are included in this device such as in-display fingerprint sensor, proximity, ambient light, gyro, compass, etc.

The handset features a 48MP primary sensor with f/1.75 lens, a 12MP telephoto camera (f/2.2), and a 16MP wide-angle camera (f/2.2) with an LED flash, PDAF, HDR, Panorama, Portrait mode, etc. On the front side, it has a 20MP selfie shooter with an f/2.0 aperture lens with a better low light image.

Price and Availability

The handset is priced at CNY 3,699 (INR 37,000 approx) for the 8GB+128GB model. While the 8GB+256GB is priced CNY 3,799 (INR 38,000 approx), 12GB+256GB priced at CNY 4,099 (INR 41,100 approx). The highest 12GB+512GB variant priced at CNY 4,299 (INR 43,100 approx) in China.
