Xiaomi Mi A3 launched with Snapdragon 665 Chip, Triple Rear Cameras and more

After so many rumours and leaks, Xiaomi has launched another successor device Mi A3 officially in Spain. The smartphone comes with the latest Android One program based on Stock Android UI. It also offers two years of major Android updates and three years of security patch level updates by Google. It’s worth mentioning that the A3 is a successor to last year’s Mi A2 device.

The handset packs an octa-core SDM665 chip along with up to 6GB of RAM and a triple rear camera setup having a 48MP primary sensor. The device also features a 32MP selfie camera and most importantly includes an in-display fingerprint scanner. The hardware specifications with Android One software program makes it an all-rounder budget device in its price segment. Mi A-series devices also known for its brilliant camera quality like any flagship-killer. While the company has come out with an AMOLED panel this time which is great.

Mi A3 Specifications and Features

It features a 6.08-inch HD+ AMOLED display with a 720×1560 pixels resolution and a waterdrop-style notch along with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The handset features an in-display fingerprint sensor and runs on Android 9 Pie over Android One program out-of-the-box. It’s powered by the Snapdragon 665 SoC and coupled with 4GB of RAM. The storage is available in 64GB/128GB which can be expandable as well.

In terms of the camera department, it has the triple rear camera setup of a 48MP primary sensor with an f/1.79 aperture lens, an 8MP secondary sensor with a 118-degree wide-angle lens. While the third camera is a 2MP as depth sensor along with an LED flash. It has a 32MP selfie camera on the front side with AI features.

The phone includes 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, A-GPS, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack as connectivity options. It packs a 4,030 mAh battery with fast charging support. The phone comes in ‘Not Just Blue’, ‘More Than White’, and ‘Kind of Gray’ colour options.

Price and Availability

The handset is priced in Spain at EUR 249 (Rs.19,200 approx) for the 4GB/64GB storage variant. While the 6GB/128GB storage option is priced at EUR 279 (Rs.21,500 approx). It will go on sale from July 24, 2019. Currently, there is no information about the launch in other countries yet. We have to wait for it.
