Xiaomi MIX 4 gets MIUI 12.5 Enhanced update in China

Earlier this week, Xiaomi announced the MIX 4 as the company’s first phone with under-display camera technology. The company did well to completely hide the selfie camera, whereas the recently-launched Galaxy Z Fold3 couldn’t manage to hide the front-facing camera sport. At the event, the brand also announced MIUI 12.5 Enhanced with some major improvements, though the software version is still MIUI 12.5. 

Xiaomi has started sending MIUI 12.5 Enhanced update to MIX 4 users in China. As per the changelog, the device will get an updated algorithm that dynamically allocates system resources based on specific scenes that ensures a smooth experience. It brings ‘atomic memory’ which is a memory management technique that makes RAM usage more efficient.

MIUI 12.5 Enhanced also adds ‘Liquid storage’ feature which monitors the degree of fragmentation and is said to increases defragmentation efficiency by 60%. It increases system responsiveness and keeps the system vibrant. Another newly introduced term in the new MIUI update is ‘Smart balance’ which ensures proper hardware usage.

Xiaomi MIX 4 users in China have already started receiving the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced update. If you have not received it yet, then manually check for the update by navigating to Settings >> About phone and check for new updates. We’ve also added a download link for the latest package below.
