4-year-old Huawei Enjoy 9 getting July 2021 security update

Huawei has shed some light on its 4-year-old Enjoy 9 by sending a new security patch update. The device was launched back in 2018 with EMUI 8.2 skin at the top. Unfortunately, Enjoy 9 has not yet received a major OS upgrade, which shows a terrible software update policy by the brand. Nevertheless, the device is receiving a new update, bringing the July 2021 security patch.

While other smartphone manufacturers are rolling out the December 2021 and January 2022 security patches, Huawei is upgrading the Enjoy 9 devices to the July 2021 security patch. It’s not the latest security patch. However, it fixes 21 high, and 28 medium levels of CVE, thereby improving the system security and privacy.

According to the changelog shared by Huawei Central, the new software update optimizes smart search function that opens quick search by swiping down on the home screen. The update deletes the Meituan application. However, users can still download the application from the application market.
