Android 13 has been making the rounds all over the smartphone scene. If you’ve got a recent Pixel smartphone, you would have probably got the first taste of the new iteration of Android. As of now, Android 13 is available for Pixel devices only, and for other devices, it’ll depend on other OEMs. Although other OEMs have started working on Android 13-based custom OS like On UI 5.0 and OxygenOS 13, it could take almost an entire year for OEMs to roll out the new update to eligible phones.
Only 13% of Android smartphones are currently running on Android 12, as of right now. Another reason is that many Android devices do not meet the requirements to be eligible. The Android 13 operating system will follow the same pattern. If you have an older phone that you believe will not be updated to Android 13, you may still take use of the most recent features of Android 13 by installing a custom ROM that is based on Android 13.
Android 13 includes a slew of exciting new features, some of which include a redesigned user interface for music controls, language customization for individual apps, and more. Installing a custom operating system based on Android 13 will get you access to all of these recently released capabilities. And given the Android 13 ROM party has only just begun, more and more devices will be receiving the ROM in the days to come. The Android 13 ROM provides additional functionality in addition to the functions that come standard with Android 13. On the other hand, it is possible that not all of Android 13’s capabilities will be included in the very first edition of the ROM. It is going to get better with the subsequent builds.
