Android 14 Beta Rolls Out to OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite and CE 3 Lite – Join Now!

OnePlus is expanding its Android 14 beta to more mid-range phones. Now, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite and OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite 5G are getting the Android 14-based OxygenOS 14 beta.

This news was shared on the OnePlus community forum. For now, the beta is only in India but it will be in other areas soon. There’s a limit of 5,000 spots so if you want in, sign up fast.

Before joining, you need to check that your phone has the latest software. If it’s an older version, you’ll need to update it to one of these specific firmware versions to join the beta:

  • OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite: CPH2467_13.1.0.611(EX01) / CPH2467_13.1.0.610(EX01) / CPH2467_13.1.0.573(EX01)
  • OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite: CPH2381_11.C.29 / CPH2381_11.C.31 / CPH2381_11.C.32

Remember, this is the first beta version, so there might be some issues. Here are the known problems:

For Nord CE 3 Lite 5G:

  • Problems with the “Link to Windows” feature in the Control Panel.
  • The Messages app crashes when closing bubble notifications.
  • System UI issues, including black screens and popups.
  • System crashes with bubble chats.

For Nord CE 2 Lite:

  • System UI crashes during calls from certain apps.
  • Face unlock doesn’t work well in dark environments.

OxygenOS 14 Features

The OxygenOS 14 beta comes with many new features, including:

  • Enhanced security and privacy for photos and videos.
  • Better system stability and faster app launches.
  • An updated Aquamorphic Design for a more soothing color experience.
  • New Aquamorphic-themed ringtones and system sounds.
  • Improved system animations for smoother transitions.

If you’re interested in trying the Android 14 open beta, go to Settings > About device > Tap up to date > Tap the icon on the top right > Beta program, and then follow the instructions.
