Players of Baldur’s Gate 3 are experiencing a surge of crashing, lagging, and freezing issues following the release of Patch 4. These problems are particularly prevalent in Act 3, the game’s most graphically demanding chapter.
Many people consider Baldur’s Gate 3 from Larian Studios to be one of this year’s top games. The game is praised for its wide range of options and numerous choices, which have made it a groundbreaking entry in its genre.
Despite the studio’s frequent updates and fixes, some problems in the game still persist. Recent reports suggest that new issues have emerged following the latest update.
Baldur’s Gate 3 Act 3 lagging on PS5 and PC after patch 4
The patch, intended to address over 1,000 issues, seems to have introduced new ones, causing stuttering, FPS drops, and delays in Act 3. Players are also reporting bugged character animations.
While Larian Studios has yet to officially acknowledge the issues, some players have found workarounds, including removing specific patch files, updating graphics drivers, disabling mods, and running the game directly from its directory.
If these methods fail, players may need to roll back to Patch 3 or utilize a script modification as a last resort.
