To be Specific, they introduced mods like FiveM and RedM. Here FiveM is a dedicated mod for Grand Theft Auto V to enable multiplayer support with a customized experience. Similarly, RedM works the same as FiveM but dedicated to Red Dead Redemption.

Rockstar Games Signed a Partnership with Cfx.re to enhance future projects
We all know that a wave of users came out when Cfx.re availed the option to go beyond the limits set in GTA V. In particular, such Modder introduced varied things that players liked a lot such as custom weapons, cars, maps, gameplay style, and other important that a potential user dreams to do in GTA V and Red Dead Redemption. As Rockstar Games saw that wherever such Modder added Mod, the game’s user base increased.
Of course, if they made such beyond-the-limits mods then obviously they did that for earning purposes. On the other hand, Rockstar Games also have a habit to acquire potential investments. From such a response, they saw the potential in Cfx.re and finally decided to buy it. I mean recently they announced a community update saying “Cfx.re would be the new team member, dreaming to get the same support as a witness for GTA V and Red Dead Redemption”.
Similarly, Cfx.re on their official forum announced that they are now formal partners with Rockstar Games, chosen to advance their already dominant FiveM mod for the coming Rockstar projects. However, along with that they also said not to ask anything about GTA 6. Here is one thing to note price consideration for acquiring such a mod community is yet to reveal but Rockstar said to not tolerate any monetary gain to Cfx.re, after they all are now a team. At present, be ready especially for GTA 6 as major changes to see.
