December 2019 Security Patch Update For Nokia 7.1 & Nokia 9 PureView Is now Live (Download Link)

Nokia has been pushing out the latest December 2019 security updates to many of its devices. a few days ago, Nokia 8.1 received the update and now two more devices have started getting the new security update.

HMD Global which is the parent company of Nokia has started releasing new December 2019 Security Patch Update For Nokia 9 PureView & Nokia 9 PureView. These two updates are not major updates rather small incremental update. The update will bump the security patch to December. For your information, both the devices have been updated to Android 10 officially a few months ago.

Nokia 9 PureView V4.08C December Patch

Nokia 9 PureView has started getting the latest December security patch update with software version V4.08C. The update is being rolled out as an OTA update and weighs in at 18.3 MB in size. There is no mention of the bug fixes in the changelog so we guess this update failed to address the bugs present in the current software version.

many Nokia 9 PureView users have also reported getting the new December 2019 patch update. According to a Reddit post, the update weighs in a nominal 32.1 MB and just like Nokia 7.1, it is also an incremental update.

If you’re using these models, you will soon receive the OTA update notification automatically. However, if you haven’t received the OTA update yet, then check for it manually. Go to the device Settings menu -> System -> Advanced -> System update
