The 13th iteration of the OS has recently been rolled out by OnePlus for its ninth series. With that, there are a few noteworthy features that the users have welcomed. However, there are some users who aren’t particularly fond of the new firmware and might want to revert back to Android 12. In this guide, you’ll get to know how you can downgrade your OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro from Android 13 to Android 12.
Downgrade OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro from Android 13 to Android 12 (European and Indian Variants)
- To start off, download the firmware corresponding to the region –
- After that, transfer the downloaded firmware to the device’s internal storage
- Head over to Settings -> About device -> Version
- Tap on Build Number 7 times and then enter the password, it’ll enable the Developer Mode
- Return back to Settings -> About device -> Up to date
- Tap on the button at the top-right and then select Local Install
- Navigate to the downloaded Android 12 firmware and then select it
- After that, tap Extract -> Upgrade
- Wait for the installation to be completed, once it’s done, tap on Restart
- Your OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro will be booted to the downgraded Android 12 OS
Downgrade OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro from Android 13 to Android 12 (Global and NA Variants)
- Download the firmware corresponding to your region from the download links mentioned above
- Transfer the downloaded firmware to your smartphone’s internal storage
- Download and install the OnePlus Downgrade APK from the following link
- In some situations, the app may be downloaded as a ZIP (filename.apk.zip)
- Rename the file and then remove .zip from the end such that it becomes filename.apk
- Install the app and then launch it
- Once you’ve done that, tap on Local Upgrade
- Navigate to the Android 12 firmware, select it, and then tap on Install Now
- Wait for the installation to be complete, once it’s done, tap on restart
- Your OnePlus 9 or OnePlus 9 Pro will be booted to the downgraded Android 12 OS
