Xiaomi has started rolling out Android 11 update to Poco M2 Pro users in India. The smartphone was released last year with Android 10 out of the box. So, Android 11 is the first major upgrade for the Poco M2 Pro.
The Android version is getting an upgrade but the MIUI version is still 12. It means that users will have to wait to get the MIUI 12.5 skin. The Andorid 11 update for Poco M2 Pro can be identified by firmware version V184.108.40.206 RJPINXM.
The update is currently rolling out to Poco M2 Pro Pilot testers. Soon, it will start hitting non-pilot users too. Android 11 brings a bunch of new features and improvements to the device including – Chat bubbles, one-time permission, improved digital wellbeing, permission auto reset, and more. In addition to Android 11 perks, the update bundles August 2021 security patch for improved system security and privacy.
Poco M2 Pro pilot testers should have already received a notification for the update. If not, then manually check for the latest update by heading to Settings >> About phone and then check for new updates. Non-pilot who want to test the new build can download the latest package using the link given below.
