[Download] Redmi Note 7 Global starts getting MIUI 12.5 update

Xiaomi is sending MIUI 12.5 update to Redmi Note 7. The new update is based on Android 10 and currently rolling out to the global variant of Redmi Note 7. It can be identified by firmware version V12.5.1.0.QFGMIXM.

Earlier this month, the MIUI 12.5 was rolled out to the Chinese model of Redmi Note 7 and now reaching the global model. We can expect the update to start rolling out in other regions very soon. Talking about the changes, MIUI 12.5 brings some major improvements to the device. It includes – reduced CPU usage that leads to better performance and reduces power consumption by up to 22%. 

With MIUI 12.5, the response to gestures is instant and rendering power has been increased by 20 times. It also brings new widgets, new animations, new gestures to create notes, tasks, and excerpts. As per the changelog, the update also brings June 2021 security patch for system security enhancements. Read more new changes in the changelog given below.

The MIUI 12.5 update has already started rolling out to the Redmi Note 7 global users. If you’ve not received it yet, then manually update your phone by heading to Settings >> About phone >> Tap on MIUI 12 icon >> Check for updates. Alternatively, use the download link given below to get the latest package and install it manually.
