Redmi Note 9 Pro Max is finally receiving awaited Android 11 update in India. It was launched last year with Android-10 based MIUI 11 skin at the top. Later in the year, the phone received MIUI 12 update. And finally, the company has started pushing stable Android 11 update for Redmi Note 9 Pro Max users in India.
The smartphone is receiving a major OS upgrade but the MIUI version is still 12. Hopefully, the company may bring MIUI 12.5 update to the phone somewhere in the near future. The new update for Redmi Note 9 Pro Max comes with a software version V12.0.1.0.RJXINXM.
The new software update also brings June 2021 security patch for improved system protection against different kinds of exploits. You can read more about the new changes down below in the changelog. The update is currently under stable beta phase, so, it may take a couple few days to reach all the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max users. To manually check for the latest update, head over to Settings, go to About phone, and then tap on System updates.
