Method 1: Open Steam in Big Picture Mode
- Run Steam and click on the icon that resembles a rectangle with opposite arrows on the top right corner for opening the Big Picture Mode
- The Big Picture mode will open with its boot animation and reveal a console-like interface
- Then, click on the Download icon present in the top right corner for viewing the downloads occurring through Steam
- If the mod download reflects here, then there will be no error with the workshop
- If it doesn’t, then you should try other methods
Method 2: Opt out of Steam Beta
- On the Steam app, you should click on the “Steam” button present in the top left corner of the screen
- In the options that appear, click on the “Settings” option
- In the Accounts section, head over to the panel titled “Beta Participation” and then click on the change button
- After that, click on the drop-down list below “Beta Participation” before selecting “None – Opt Out of all Beta Programs”
- Click on “OK” for completing the process
- Restart the application and see if the Steam Workshop Not Downloading Mods issue is resolved
Method 3: Clear the Download cache
- Open the Settings window
- In the panel on the left side, you should go to the “Download” settings
