Galaxy F42 5G updated to Android 12 based One UI 4.1 Core in India

The One UI 4.1 Core update, which is based on Android 12, is finally making its way to the Samsung Galaxy F42 5G in India. The update is being rolled out via OTA in India.

The new update brings all the new features of One UI 4.1 core to the device. The changelog for Android 12 notes the addition of the Nearby Share function as well as support for AVIF picture files. These new features come on top of the other new additions to Android 12. This update contains a list of security fixes that were updated in July of 2022.

The update is now being implemented in India in stages, and the process is ongoing. Therefore, it will be some time before it is accessible on all of the devices.

You can manually check its availability if you own the smartphone and live in India by going into Settings, selecting Software update, and then selecting Download and install.
