Samsung has pushed a new software update for the Galaxy Z Fold 2 in the US. It is rolling out to the carrier-locked as well as unlocked variants with the firmware version F916U1UES2HVF6 and F916USQS2HVF3, respectively.
The latest software update for the Galaxy Z Fold 2 mainly brings the July 2022 security patch. According to Samsung, the latest security patch fixes over 50 vulnerabilities of different severity levels to enhance user privacy and data security. The update also improves system stability for a better user experience.
Samsung has been pretty good with the software update rollout. The company, in fact, started rolling out the July 2022 security patch in the last week of June. It is now available for dozens of Galaxy phones with the latest one being the Galaxy Z Fold 2.
If you are a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 user in the US, navigate to Settings > Software update and tap on the Download and install button to update your phone. In case no new update is available, wait for a few days and repeat again.
The popular Galaxy Z Fold 2 was released last year with Android 11 out of the box. It has already secured its first OS update in the form of Android 12. And, according to Samsung’s software update policy, the device will get two more Android OS updates – Android 13 and Android 14.
