Google Messages Profile Images to replace your Contact Photos
Google Messages Profile is a feature where you can choose a name for your profile and an image, which will be synchronized with your phone number. All other users can see this information when receiving an RCS message even if they haven’t got your number saved.

This can be useful for folks who prefer such data to be filled automatically as they wouldn’t want to waste time manually settings profile images for each contact. Instead of seeing generic images next to each contact, you’ll see the image chosen by others for their profiles.
It is worth mentioning that it only happens with photos, so the names you’ve used for saving your contacts will not be overwritten by the names chosen by each user in the profile. If you’re receiving a text from a number that you haven’t saved, you’ll see the name the other person has set in their prolife.
It should also be noted that the Google Messages Profile Images isn’t mandatory as you’ll be able to disable it. To do that, you can head over to the Profile Discovery section and turn it off in favor of the classic user experience.
