Finally a good news for Google Pixel users, Google Pixel Devices will be getting January 2020 security patch from next Monday which is January 6, 2020. The new update will come with a new software version and it will be rolled out as an OTA update.

In the earlier days of Android, Google used to roll out the latest monthly security patch updates to its Nexus and Pixel line-up and then other manufacturer used to follow the path but things have changed. Google has been very slow compared to other manufacturers in releasing new security updates. Many Pixel 3 users reported that they haven’t received the December patch update too.

Manufacturers like Samsung have already updated some of its devices like A50 to the latest January 2020 security patch update and now Google will be the second company to do so. According to Rogers, Google Pixel devices (From 2nd gen to the latest) will be getting the January 2020 update from January 06, 2020.
