Huawei has started rolling out the latest February 2022 HarmonyOS Security Update and Honor 20 Youth Edition has become the first handset to receive the update. The new update will bring better system security for improved performance. According to the changelog, the update log will come with the new HarmonyOS v2.0.0.217, but the caveat is that the device users will need to be running on the HarmonyOS 2.0.0.215. The update will fix numerous vulnerabilities in the latest software system while improving the performance of the device.
Changelog for February 2022 Security Update for the Honor 20 Youth Edition
The Honor 20 Youth Edition users have started receiving the latest February 2022 Security Update and it features the latest February 2022 Security Patch. As per the expectations, the latest update will include device stability improvements and general bug fixes. Further, the new update will also bring numerous fixes, including 1 high-level and 1 medium-level CVE for the system and 30 medium-level, 9 high-level, and 1 critical CVE in third-party libraries.
The February 2022 Security Update for Honor 20 Youth Edition is being rolled out in a phased manner and will be available to a limited number of users initially before it gradually gets rolled out to all the users. You can manually download and install this update by going to your device’s settings. For doing that, follow these simple instructions –
- Open the Settings
- Click on System and Updates
- Now, open Software Update
- Tap on the option Check for Updates
- If the update is available, simply click on Download and Install
- Once the installation is finished, reboot your Honor 20 Youth Edition
Alternatively, you could manually request software updates through the “My Huawei” app. In order to do that, open the “My Huawei app”, tap on the “Update” option, then select the “Check for Updates” option, and finally “Download and Install”.
