In this guide, you will learn How to Safely Root S6 Edge Plus (GSM) In Just 2min.Here we will be using Odin Flas tool to Flash the auto root kernel to get root access on Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus (GSM)

Samsung has launched its two phablet, the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus.We have already posted an article on How to root Galaxy Note 5.If you own a S6 Edge Plus then you are at the right place. It is a very simple easy and safe process.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus launched with Android 5.1.1 out of the box, so any previous rooting methods that worked for S6 edge like PingPong Root and CF-Auto-Root doesn’t work for the S6 Edge Plus.If you have a Galaxy S6 Edge Plus and you want to root it then, The only way to get root on Samsung’s Android 5.1.1 based firmware is to install a custom kernel with auto-root. Thanks to Odin, installing custom kernels has never been a trouble, even the noob users. However, flashing a custom kernel on your Galaxy S6 Edge Plus means tripping its KNOX counter, which you should be really worried about.

    • Not latest Odin.Latest Odin is v3.10 I am saying use Odin v3.9.We don’t have the device currently but we have tested it and it worked.Try with Odin v3.9 and take a backup first because you can restore your data in case anything goes wrong.

        • This is not a bug but it can be fixed easily.

Edit your build. prop, you should have this ro.securestorage.support=false
Your WiFi does not retain the password because that line is true, change to false reboot and that’s it.

I would have thought the author would have posted this already since the fix has been known since at least the 12th of October 2015.

    • Go into your build.prop and look for “ro.securestorage.support=true” and change the “true” to “false” without the quotations, then reboot your phone and you should be good to go

  5. im a little lost with all of this does. I read alot about it on http://wyckedroot.com/ but I still don’t know whether rooting means the same as jailbreaking? meaning i can use the phone with another carrier after this is finished?

    • First things first: root= magically able to get rid of bloatware.

Second, root=administrative powers on the device you purchased.

3rd: ever wonder why you can’t Uninstaller certain apps that mine/collect all your data to sell? (Not to point but….ahem…”fakebook”)
For this, root= now you can get rid of that trash.

Wanna tweak your device? Run faster, better, cleaner, yep….root.

Root= ability to run really cool apps made by others. Root=having the ability to use your device any way you want, without giving to follow forced rules etc.

It’s worth it just to get rid of facebook though.

  6. If you have a custom recovery, download the larest SuperSU from XDA Developers and flash that in your recovery. That should take care of your superuser app not updating the binary…
