Huawei has started to send a new software update for the Huawei Enjoy 20 Plus, Enjoy 20 Pro 5G, and Mate Xs. The latest update adds the January 2022 HarmonyOS security patch to improve system security and privacy.
The latest software update for Huawei Enjoy 20 Plus 5G comes with HarmonyOS firmware version 2.0.0.220, an upgrade from version 2.0.0.219. The January update for Enjoy 20 Pro 5G is tagged as HarmonyOS version 2.0.0.221. It is a follow-up from the base version 2.0.0.217.
Huawei Mate Xs is also getting the January 2022 HarmonyOS security update with the software version 2.0.0.222, an upgrade from the HarmonyOS 2.0.0.216. The latest update for Huawei Enjoy 20 Plus, Enjoy 20 Pro 5G, and Mate Xs incorporates the January 2022 HarmonyOS security patch. It fixes a total of 130 Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs), out of which 19 are System CVEs and 111 CVEs have been found in the third-party libraries.
Huawei Mate Xs, Enjoy 20 Plus, and Enjoy 20 Pro 5G users have started picking up the January 2022 HarmonyOS security update. Users who are still in the queue should manually check for new updates using any of the methods mentioned below.
How to download the latest update on Huawei Enjoy 20 Plus, Enjoy 20 Pro 5G, and Mate Xs
Via Settings app:
- Open Settings app
- Go to System & updates -> Software update
- Tap on Check for Updates
- Hit the Download and Install button
- Reboot the phone
Via My Huawei app:
- Open My Huawei app
- Tap on Update
- Now, tap on the Download and Install button
- Reboot the phone
