Huawei P40 Lite officially releases the January 2022 Security Update

Huawei developers have started rolling out the January 2022 Security Update for Huawei P40 Lite handsets running on EMUI 10.1. The new update will increase the security patch level of the smartphone while it’ll also protecting the device against any potential threats.

Huawei P40 Lite devices have recently started receiving the new update for EMUI version 10.1.0.399 (C432E1R2P1). For the interested users, the update is relatively small and they can simply download the software package worth 262 MB in size. The update has only been pushed for a few updates before it gradually reaches all Huawei P40 Lite users in the coming days and weeks. Moreover, Huawei P40 Lite is also eligible for the next major update in the form of EMIU 12, which will provide an entirely new level of user experience, similar to HarmonyOS.

The new update will come with the latest January 2022 Security Patch update and drastically improve the security quotient of the handset. The new update will fix 4 critical, 47 medium, and 12 high levels of CVEs to offer overall better system security and user experience. The update only includes security improvement and will not have any new or major changes to the system. Moreover, it will likely be the last update for EMUI 10.1 before the stable EMUI 12 starts rolling out.
