Huawei is sending a new software update to Huawei P40 Lite and Y9 Prime 2019. The new update brings a new security patch to improve system security from different kinds of exploits.
More specifically, the new update for Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 brings May 2021 security patch, while Huawei P40 Lite is receiving an older security patch released in April 2021. It is rolling out with software versions EMUI 10.0.0.411 and EMUI 10.1.0.323 respectively for Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 and P40 Lite.

Via Settings App
- Open Settings app
- Go to System & updates -> Software update
- Then, click on Check for updates
- Download and install the update.
Via Support App
- Open Support app
- Go to the Services tab
- Click Update
- Then, click on Check for updates
- Download and install the update.
