LineageOS, a popular third-party Android ROM, has officially released LineageOS 20 based on the latest mobile OS Android 13.
The Lineage team announced the release in a recent blog post, stating that the build has been in the works since October 2022 and is now available for a wide range of devices. The team also highlighted that much of the hard work has already been done and the “bring-up requirements” for Android 13 have made this process easier for them.
LineageOS 20 includes a new camera app called Aperture that has a look and feel closer to the Google Camera app found on Pixel phones. This camera app has been developed by SebaUbuntu, LuK1337, and luca020400. It also includes security patches from April 2022 to December 2022, an updated WebView, an improved volume panel, support for GKI and Linux 5.10 builds, and bug fixes and improvements to apps.
