Both the carrier-locked and carrier-unlocked variants of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 have received the latest March 2024 security update in the United States. As per sammobile, this update addresses 45 security vulnerabilities, with 36 fixes from Google and 9 from Samsung.
The update comes with firmware versions F916USQS5KXC1 (carrier-locked) and F916U1UES5KXC1 (carrier-unlocked), which bring the latest security patch. The update is being rolled out in a phased manner. So if the update is not yet available on your device, just wait for a few days.
Currently, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 receives monthly security updates, but it may soon move to a quarterly schedule.
Manual update check
If you’re using the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 device, check the available OTA update via Settings > Software Update > Download and Install. It’ll automatically install the update. Wait for it to complete, and then reboot the device to change the effects.
