V12.2.8.0.RJBCNXM: Mi 10 MIUI 12.2.8.0 China Stable ROM (December Security 2020)

The Xiaomi Mi 10 has started picking up the December 2020 security patch update with the latest MIUI 12.2.8.0 China Stable ROM. The update brings software version V12.2.8.0.RJBCNXM and currently being rolled out in China. But thanks to the community the Xiaomi Mi 10’s MIUI V12.2.8.0.RJBCNXM update is made available for download, so anyone who wants to flash the ROM manually on Xiaomi Mi 10 can do that.

You can manually check the software update on your device whether it’s available on your device or not. Head over to the device Settings –> About Phone –> Check for Software Update. The update will be rolled out globally in an incremental manner and it should take some time to appear on all the units.

FYI, the current update is a Chinese Stable ROM which means only those devices running on a China ROM, will get the update via OTA. Otherwise, you have to install it manually. The update is based on Android 10. The update brings loads of new features and improvements. Along with these, it also improves the security and stability of the device. The update is around 700MB in size (OTA). You can check the full changelog below.
