Motorola Moto G Fast receiving Android 11 update

Motorola Moto G Fast starts receiving the Android 11 update in the US. The budget-friendly Moto G Fast was launched back in June 2020 with Android 10 and now receiving its first major OS upgrade.

The update is being rolled out to the unlocked Moto G Fast in the US. It can be identified by firmware version RPJ31.Q1-53-12. The company has not shared the complete changelog for the update, but it should bring all the Android 11 features like Chat bubbles, improved media controls, a built-in screen recorder, permission auto reset, one-time permission to apps requesting for camera, mic & location access, scheduled dark mode and more.

In addition to Android 11 goodies, Motorola has added February 2021 security patch in the update. The company has just started rolling out Android 11 update to Moto G Fast. So, it may take a couple of days to reach your phone. In the meantime, you can manually check for the latest update by navigating to Settings >> About phone >> System updates
