Back in December 2020, Motorola announced a list of devices eligible to receive Android 11 update which includes Moto G8 and G8 Power. The sad part of that announcement was, Motorola didn’t reveal the rollout schedule, as to when the eligible devices will get Android 11. Then, in January this year, Moto G Pro becomes the company’s first to get Android 11 update.
As per the latest information, Motorola Moto G8 and Moto G8 Power start receiving Android 11 stable update. It also bumps the Android security patch level to February 2021 for better system protection. Since Moto G8 and G8 Power share the same software build, the update carries the same firmware version RPE31.Q4U-47-35.
Users from Columbia have reported receiving the Android 11 build. The OTA update is rolling out in a staged manner, it may take few days to reach your Moto G8 or G8 Power.
