HMD Global has launched the Nokia 7.2 model globally along with the Nokia 6.2 model at IFA tech fair in Berlin. Both the devices run on Google Android One program on the top of Android 9 Pie. Additionally, the device also comes with a 3,500mAh battery and triple rear camera setup. The 7.2 device features a waterdrop notch display, sturdy body, back glass panel.
As the device runs on the Android One program, Nokia ensures that it’s upgradable to Android 10 very soon. Though the Android One powered devices get two years of major Android updates and three years of latest security patch updates frequently. The device rear camera placed on a rounded module which looks cool and unique but the camera bump is high enough.
Nokia 7.2 Specifications
The dual Nano-SIM capable Nokia device comes with a 6.3-inches Full-HD+ display with HDR10 support. It also packs with the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It’s powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC, coupled with 4GB/6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of onboard storage. While the storage is expandable up to 512GB via a MicroSD card. The device packs a 3,500mAh battery which can offer up to 2 days of battery life as mentioned by the company.
In terms of the camera department, the device sports a triple rear camera setup of a 48MP primary sensor (f/1.79), a secondary 5MP depth sensor, and an 8MP wide-angle lens (f/2.2) with an LED flash. On the front side, the handset packs a 20MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture lens along with AI modes. Such as AI Face Unlock, AI Portrait mode, Bothie mode, HDR, PDAF, Image Stabilization, and more.
In terms of the connectivity options, it has a USB Type-C port, Bluetooth 5, GPS, A-GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, a 3.5mm audio jack, 4G LTE, USB OTG support, and more. The dimension is 159.88×75.11×8.25mm and weighs 180 grams.
Price and Availability
HMD Global mentioned that the Nokia 7.2 price will start at EUR 249 (INR 19,800 approx) and the device will be sold from this month. It will be available in Cyan Green, Charcoal, and Ice color options. There is no information about the device availability in India for now.
