Nubia Red Magic 6 series confirmed to feature Snapdragon 888 chipset

Qualcomm unveiled its most powerful Snapdragon 888 chipset yesterday. Soon after the launch, major smartphone companies started teasing their smartphone powered by this new chipset. Unsurprisingly, Xiaomi Mi 11 will be the first smartphone to debut with Snapdragon 888 chipset.

Now, Nubia President, Ni Fei shared a poster which reveals that Nubia Red Magic 6 series will get the Snapdragon 888 chipset. So, it could be the first gaming smartphone to feature Snapdragon 888 chipset. The poster does not reveal any specifications or design.

Qualcomm has completely re-engineered the Hexagon processor which can now deliver 26TOPS unlike the 15TOPS in Snapdragon 865. The new Adreno GPU supports 144fps gaming and supports updateable GPU drivers. The chipset integrates Qualcomm’s third-generation Snapdragon X60 5G modem and offers sub-6 and mmWave 5G support.
