Poco starts rolling out a new software update to Poco X2 users in India. The new update bumps Android security patch level to May 2021 for enhanced system protection from exploits.
In addition to May 2021 security patch, the new update brings minor UI changes to Gallery, Cleaner, and Camera app. The changelog does not mention the addition of any new features.
Security is one of the main concerns for any device and therefore, it’s always recommended to keep your device updated with the latest security patch available. Generally, a new security patch fixes a bunch of security and privacy related vulnerabilities.
The new software update for Poco X2 is rolling out with software version V12.1.5.0.RGHINXM in India. So, if you are a Poco X2 user in the country, then you might have already received the update. If you haven’t, then manually check for the latest update by navigating to Settings >> About phone >> System update. We have also added a download link for the latest package.
