Realme GT 5G starts picking up its second software update in India. The new OTA update mainly brings the October 2021 security patch. It comes with the firmware version RMX2202_11_A.16.
The October 2021 update for Realme GT 5G also brings system stability optimizations and fixes to some known issues, which are not detailed in the changelog. It is a minor security patch. So, don’t expect it to bring any new features, performance improvements or changes to the user interface (UI).
While Realme is sending the October 2021 security update to Android-11 based Realme GT 5G users, the company, on the other hand, is also testing the Android 12 based Realme UI 3.0 skin for the device in India and China. Interested users looking to test the Android 12 beta build can apply for the same via the Settings app.
Coming back to the topic, the October 2021 software update for Realme GT 5G is rolling out in India. Those who have not received it yet, should manually check for the update by heading to Settings >> Software updates.
