Redmi 9A and Poco C3 are getting a new software update with January 2021 security patch

Redmi 9A and Poco C3 are budget smartphones from Xiaomi that were launched this year. Both the devices are now receiving a new software update that brings January 2021 security patch. Surprisingly, the Redmi 9A and Poco C3 become the first phones to receive the January 2021 security update.

Security patch updates increase the security mechanism of the devices and thus makes the device more safer to use. Therefore, it is always advised to keep your smartphone updated with the latest security patches.

The Indian variant Poco C3 is receiving the update with firmware version V12.0.5.0.QCRINXM and that for Redmi 9A is V12.0.8.0.QCDINXM. The company will soon roll out the update to other regions as well.
